Training Courses

The first 8 weeks of the Course is a Volunteer Course. During these 8 weeks you will learn about 4OUR (who and what we are), our Constitution, the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Codes of Practice and volunteer duties at the Station. At the end of the 8 weeks there is an assessment to determine your level of understanding of community radio and in particular 4OUR.
The next part of the Course runs for 13 weeks. You must receive a favourable assessment in the Volunteer section to continue. This section deals with the Laws of Broadcasting (Defamation, Libel, Copyright etc.), reading for radio, writing for radio, music format, how to put a program together - in fact - all the sorts of things you need to know to become a volunteer announcer.
